In the Quiet | 2021

These paintings were made in response to the world climate of 2021. With so much foreboding in the world, I felt the need to turn inward and be in a quiet space away from the noise – and so I escaped to the quiet of the beach and to the sanctity of my studio.
These paintings speak of a desire for order, balance and calm. My intention is that the viewer may slow down and sense the quiet surroundings in which they were created and that that stillness may permeate the environment in which they sit.
